Position Summary
Can/Am is looking for a dedicated and tenacious HR generalist with at least 2 years of experience within an HR generalist or Admin Assistant role to provide support for daily functions of the HR department while assisting with general administrative tasks across the company.
This hybrid role requires an organized, resourceful, and people-oriented individual who can manage HR responsibilities such as onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance, while also supporting the HR team with scheduling, document preparation, and internal communications. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced SaaS company environment and demonstrates professionalism, confidentiality, and a passion for supporting a positive employee experience.
In addition, you will be a key resource in the development and implementation of key HR initiatives. You will report to the Director of HR.
Qualifications

Qualifications
The candidate should be a fast learner with an aptitude for understanding and maintaining complex systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in a human resources support or administrative assistant role.
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, labor laws, and compliance requirements.
- Experience in HRIS systems (e.g., BambooHR, Paychex, Rippling, etc. Rippling preferred).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Track record of building authentic relationships, balancing approachability with professionalism.
- Models’ respectful behavior and accountability, setting a standard for interpersonal conduct across the organization.
- Able to embrace change, remaining flexible in dynamic environments, and contribute positively during periods of transition or uncertainty.
- Strong ability to develop buy-in and positivity during times of change through effective communication and follow through.
- Experience in a SaaS or technology company preferred.
Key Goals and Success Criteria
- Provide timely and professional communication to candidates while involved in the recruiting pipeline. Fulfilling all SLA’s.
- Ensure new hires are smoothly onboarded with all documentation, training, and equipment needs handled within 48 hours of start date.
- 100% compliance with documentation and legal recordkeeping for audits and legal reviews.
- Act as a reliable point of contact for employee questions and foster a welcoming, supportive work culture.
- Engage with colleagues and stakeholders with empathy, clarity, and professionalism to build trust and alignment with organizational goals.
- Recognize achievements and milestones to build morale and reinforce a positive, appreciative culture.
- Build strong working relationships across teams to encourage open communication, shared learning, and mutual support.
- Respond to scheduling, filing, and document requests within 24 hours. Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files.
- Ensure benefits enrollment and changes are processed correctly and timely during open enrollment and life events.
